Top 10 Sherwin-Williams Colors for 2019

I love color. And I lovvvve organization. So when Rachel from Sherwin-Williams walked in to my local coffee shop with a brand spankin’ new color kit for me, it felt like Christmas came early. I think I may have actually called her a “paint angel”. Once I came down from my organized color high, I thought it might be a good idea to share ten of my favorite choices with you. There are a few basics, a few neutrals and a couple of bolder choices for the brave at (color) heart. You can find them all below along with some ideas of where and how to use them.

Top 10 Sherwin-Williams Paint Colors

1.) White Dogwood (SW 6315): This super soft pastel is a beautiful choice for a nursery, a walk-in closet, bedroom or even a bathroom. Pink can be a tough color to get right as it can go too peach or too Pepto in a hurry. This one is oh-so-subtle and just right.

2.) Greek Villa (SW 7551): I recommend this color ALL THE TIME. It’s a perfect white for trim, walls, cabinets and furniture. It gives the appearance of a true white but without being too stark or too creamy. There are no yellow undertones popping through here!

3.) Sea Salt (SW 6204): This shade is one of those chameleon colors that can totally change depending on your room and your light. What that means is that you should absolutely sample it in your space before committing. It’s a very soft green-gray-blue color that would work really well in a bedroom, bathroom, sunroom or coastal living room. I can picture this beauty alongside creamy whites and seagrass rugs…and a glass of crisp, white wine.

4.) Kingdom Gold (SW 6698): Believe me, I know this color is not for everyone. But if you are someone who likes to experiment a little and go a little bolder with your color, this rich mustard color is crazy good! I’m seeing this on one wall with camel-colored leather and deep teal accents…or maybe in a room with a mud cloth patterned rug with black and brass accessories. This is definitely a living room kind of shade but could also work in an entry, the bedroom or even the right style of kitchen!

5.) Moscow Midnight (SW 9142): This dreamy, deep peacock blue-green color is sooooo super sexy. It’s also surprisingly versatile and can hold its own in a living room, an office, a bathroom and a master bedroom. It’s beautiful with rich neutrals…but also with other pops of color like brighter blues and greens or even oranges and corals.

6.) Naval (SW 6244): Navy is such a workhorse. It can be preppy next to kelly green, light-hearted with bright pink, or serious and polished with white and gold. It’s all about what you pair it with and there aren’t many wrong answers. This is my favorite true, deep navy color and should be in your bedroom, office or bathroom. It’s also a solid front door color choice.

7.) Tricorn Black (SW 6258): The only black you’ll ever need to know. This shade is all over my house. It’s on my stairs, some furniture and even my front door. And when done right, black walls can be dramatic in the best kind of way. I would love to work with someone who is interested in black walls…is it you??

8.) Agreeable Gray (SW 7029): This is as close to a no-fail neutral as you can get. It’s a perfect greige: not too gray and not too beige. There are some cult classics from another major paint brand and this one would give them a total run for their money. This one can go ANYWHERE and EVERYWHERE.

9.) Accessible Beige (SW 7036): Gray has been getting all the attention lately, but beige is patiently waiting in the background comfortable in knowing that its time will come again. Like a lot of neutrals, it can be a little tricky to find just the right shade. Sometimes they go too yellow and sometimes they even go too pink. This is another no-fail choice (like Agreeable Gray above) and can also go ANYWHERE AND EVERYWHERE.

10.) Argos (SW 7065): Last but not least, Argos is ready for anyone who might want a more traditional gray that is not too green, too blue or too tan. It’s a perfect backdrop for any all shades and the commitment factor is minimal with this one. Gray alllllll day.

I hope you’ll be able to use some of these to add some color to your world! Pretty please…let me know if you do. I always love to find out if something has been helpful in any way!

XO, Maja
